The Tropic Wings Grand Kuranda Train & Skyrail Tour is an all-inclusive day tour that visits the beautiful rainforest village of Kuranda. The tour starts with a hotel bus pick-up from your downtown Cairns hotel. Enjoy the Kuranda Scenic Train journey, which leads you through the Barron Gorge National Park. Disembark the train for a 10-minute stop at Barron Waterfalls. Arrive in Kuranda village to explore local boutique shops, cafes, and art stores, and visit the Kuranda Butterfly Sanctuary.
The bus will then carry you over to Rainforestation Nature Park, where you will ride the Army Duck deep into the rainforest before entering the freshwater river system to explore local flora and fauna. Discover the rainforest with expert driver guides.
At lunchtime, you will enjoy a local Australian-style BBQ buffet lunch featuring a variety of hot and cold dishes, as well as vegetarian options to choose from. After lunch, it’s time to meet the local award-winning indigenous guides, watch traditional dance performances, learn to throw a boomerang and spears, and play musical instruments like the didgeridoo.
It’s now time to explore the Wildlife Park and meet iconic Australian animals, including the Kangaroo, wallabies, and Koalas. Optional extra wildlife photo opportunities are also available. Nearing the end of the afternoon, it’s time to depart Kuranda on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Glide over the rainforest canopy with stops at Barron Falls and Red Peak Stations.
Your driver guide will meet you at the bottom of the Skyrail station to transfer you back to your hotel in downtown Cairns.

Remember to try any form of scuba diving everyone needs to be medically fit with no asthma and not be taking any prescription medication. PADI recommends allowing up to 24 hours after diving before flying in an airplane. Some tour operators have a no refund policy for any dives not completed for whatever reason. Please note the art of freediving is not permitted on any of the day boats or liveaboard dive boats from Cairns & Port Douglas. With the high instances of (shallow water blackout) companies do not allow this for safety reasons. It is highly recommended that passengers take out full comprehensive travel insurance for all tours and travel arrangements.
Do you have Medical Issues:
Please note if you have any medical issues you will need to go see your local GP where you live and get them to write you a letter on the practice letterhead signed and dated by your doctor that you are “Fit to dive” If you have one of these letters then all dive companies in Cairns will take you diving. Please note these letters are only valid for three months from their date of issue.
