Easter 2015 Cairns Great Barrier Reef

Easter in Cairns 2015 is going to be awesome! This is a great time of year to visit our tropical region and visit the wonderful Great Barrier Reef, where the water is warm and blue and the fish are waiting to say hello to you.

So what are the Easter 2015 dates? Good Friday is 3 April, Easter Saturday 4 April and Easter Sunday 5 April. This is during school holidays, so it’s a busy time of year in our popular little patch of paradise, which means it’s very important to book early to avoid disappointment.

What is the best Great Barrier Reef Easter trip for you? Well it all depends on your circumstances. Are you a certified diver with lots of experience, or a snorkeler wanting to explore the shallows, or travelling with family and wanting the best day out? For your convenience, we have cherry picked the best Cairns Easter Reef trips for 2015 and are happy to provide details below. Remember, this is a really busy time of year up here, so please book early to avoid disappointment!

EASTER CAIRNS GREAT BARRIER REEF DIVE TRIPS

Certified divers will love spending a day with Tusa Dive on the Great Barrier Reef. This locally owned and operated dive boat caters to divers of all experience levels and is one of the few Cairns boats to offer guided and unguided diving. They are licensed to visit 16 different reef sites and will visit the best ones on the day to maximise your experience to the conditions. Day tour numbers are limited to 60 and Tusa caters to divers and snorkelers. We offer some great deals, so contact us today for more information. EASTER FAMILY CAIRNS GREAT BARRIER REEF TRIPS

For families our top tip is to visit a pontoon and this Easter we recommend Reef Magic Cruises. What will I see? To start with, an amazing and super friendly blue fish called Wally! He makes a great photo and is something you will never forget. What can I do? Everything. Activities include glass bottom boat tours, semi-submersible tours, an underwater observatory, snorkelling, scuba diving and helmet diving. The coral reef is a short (5m) swim from the pontoon. Water access is via a lowered platform and before you know it you are swimming over stunning coral gardens, home to an amazing array of fish. Amenities on the pontoon include sheltered tables and chairs, sun deck with lounges, change rooms, freshwater showers and more. We offer some great deals, so contact us today for more information. EASTER CAIRNS GREAT BARRIER REEF SNORKEL TRIPS

Calling all snorkelers this Easter is a pristine tropical sand cay with offshore coral reefs, home to colourful fish and an amazing variety of giant clams! This day tour offers a little bit of everything. A sailing adventure, on a 32m luxury catamaran, some island time on the coral cay and lots of time for snorkelling and swimming. Water entry is directly from the beach, which means you can take it at your own pace. Where are you going? Michaelmas Cay, where the water is shallow and protected from open ocean currents and thriving with marine life. We offer some great deals, so contact us today for more information. EASTER PORT DOUGLAS GREAT BARRIER REEF TRIPS

There’s plenty of Easter 2015 reef trips running from Port Douglas and we have cherry picked the best one for you. This is with a multi-award winning tourism operator who has a permanently moored pontoon on Agincourt Ribbon Reefs. It’s a full day tour, including morning and afternoon tea and a hot and cold buffet lunch with plenty of time to play in the water. What can you do? Swim, snorkel and scuba dive. There’s also an underwater observatory, semi-submersible tours and fish feeding. We offer some great deals, so contact us today for more information. EASTER WEATHER ON THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

Too early to call at this stage. Easter falls in April, which is at the end of Cairns’ annual wet season, meaning there is a slight chance of rain (which hardly matters when you visit the reef, as you will be getting wet anyway). The maximum daily daytime temperature is 27.9 degrees with an overnight low of 23.8 degrees. The water temperature will be around 26-27 degrees with lots to see.

WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST EASTER TRIP FOR YOU?
